Function of the Industrial Center

1.Provide engineering training of various levels for College Students

（1）Cognition practice: Facing the students of 73 majors in the whole school, in the entrance education stage, combined with the professional quality education of freshmen, the method of introduction course, window + display board + Multimedia Demonstration and hands-on disassembly and assembly is adopted to let students understand the complete industrial system, typical product system, enterprise operation system, advanced manufacturing technology and the latest technological development. Cultivate students' health awareness (normal physical, psychological and interpersonal relationship), group awareness (collective concept and team spirit, cooperation and service), quality awareness (quality first, good quality reflects social responsibility), market awareness (market is the leader of enterprises). The Industrial Center provides a one week professional knowledge practice base for students of mechanical, electrical and management majors from grade two to grade three. It also provides some conditions of cognition, experiment and Practice for mechanical, electrical and management students.

（2）Basic engineering training: to provide basic skills training services for lower grade students (freshmen and sophomore). Meet the practical training of freshmen and sophomore, improve their engineering quality and practical ability, and prepare the necessary engineering practice foundation for the follow-up courses.

（3）Modern engineering training + professional cognition practice (sophomore and junior): under the background of large-scale engineering and large-scale manufacturing, the main direction is to fully embody modern design technology, modern manufacturing technology, mechanical and electrical control technology and modern management technology, and the basic starting point is to cover the vast majority of Engineering Majors in our university. To provide students with a modern, complete, personal experience, personal participation in product design, manufacturing, control, management of the integrated simulation of industrial production environment; undertake material, electrical, chemical, mechanical, electrical, dynamic, environmental, automotive, computer, industrial design and other students of modern engineering system training (project training).

（4）Comprehensive and innovative training (junior and senior): provide students with basic, relatively independent and relatively centralized working environment, conditions and places necessary for design and manufacturing in combination with curriculum design, graduation design, school, provincial and national innovation competitions. In the training of simulating the whole process of industrial product development, design and manufacturing, the engineering ability and quality of engineers should be trained, and the comprehensive engineering practice ability of students can be trained through practice.

3.Providing consulting and manufacturing services for the society

While striving to complete the practical teaching tasks for all undergraduates and postgraduates, the Industrial Center actively carries out scientific research, serves for the development of new products and transformation of scientific research achievements, opens to the society, and carries out foreign consultation and manufacturing services.

Since the Industrial Center has employed many well-known entrepreneurs or company managers as its members, it has strengthened its ties with the business community, often providing advice for industrial consultation and manufacturing, and helping to solve some technical problems.

At present, it mainly provides technical consultation and manufacturing services in reverse engineering, rapid prototyping, mold CAD / CAM, laser processing, etc.

4.Scientific research and Technological Development

The Industrial Center not only provides consulting and manufacturing services for the society, but also pays attention to the improvement of scientific research and technological development ability. Since the Industrial Center has multi-disciplinary and multi-specialized staff at all levels, as well as a complete range of technically advanced equipment, it has good comprehensive conditions for scientific research and technological development. The development of scientific research and technological development drives teaching with appropriate products, which plays an important role in improving the quality of personnel training, improving the academic level and engineering quality of teachers, and maintaining the sustainable development of the Industrial Center.

5.College Students' science and technology innovation activity base

The Industrial Center makes use of the advantages of comprehensive, cross cutting, practice and application to create a suitable atmosphere and environment for innovation. It has become a base for scientific and technological innovation activities of college students inside and outside class and an incubator for cultivating students' innovative consciousness and ability.
